This is the service stand made by Touratech for the Rallye bike first used on the '02 Dakar.
I was lucky enough to convince them to give one to me which made it's way back here to California. The bikes are outside at the moment as I've got the XR400 torn down in the garage.
A closeup of the stand shows that it has a machined circular part that goes into the frame. One replacement stand that they sent me actually had a bent insert because the metal is kind of thin. So I've had my metal shop make me a replacement.
This is the replacement stand that I've had fabricated.
It has a stronger machined part with thicker metal and is simpler to make.
This is a closeup of the machined metal insert that goes into the bike.
This is a picture of the whole unit.
I'm offering these for sale to Chain Gang members for $125 plus shipping.
This is cost of materials and labor and includes all machining/assembly.
I've found these stands to be great, quick and easy to use for Dakar owners or even GS owners who want to work on the bike without using the centerstand (like when you've got to replace parts underneath or don't want the bike to rock off of the centerstand).
Just drop me an e-mail at david@dhpmoto.com if you want one. I'd like to have all the orders together so that I can make them in a bunch and not have to go back and forth to the shop/shipper etc.
