Motorcycle Shipping/Rental Info—Jimmy Lewis Training

I researched different firms to see if we could get some motorcycles to rent. We even asked BMWNA if they could set some bikes aside that we could insure and use in the program (many people are coming to the course just having bought BMW dual sport bikes or wanting to learn how to ride their own BMW dual sport/adventure touring bikes better).

The best solution that I have come up with so far is an 'arrangement' that we've made with AdMo Tours. They have a supply of bikes in Wrightwood,California and Jimmy's situation dependant we can usually make arrangements for him to pick up these bikes. All arrangements are made between the individual participant and AdMo Tours. Neither myself (David H Park) nor Jimmy Lewis have anything to do with AdMo Tours.

You (the rider/renter) are responsible for all of the legal and financial requirements that making such a rental entails. The bikes that we are Suzuki DRZ 400's. The following is from the e-mail from AdMo:

"The bikes are in excellent stock condition with a big tank and license plates. You can see a couple of pictures of those bikes at: http://www.admo-tours.com/English/california_daytours.htm

Rates for a two day rental are $ 125 per day plus a surcharge of $ 148 per rental for renting without guide plus 7.75% tax. Part of the surcharge could be waved on future rentals when we know exactly the bikes are only used on training sessions and not for races etc. The refundable damage deposit in order to pick up the bike is $1500 and can be charged to a credit card. The renter is fully responsible for all damages occurred during the rental time!"

Since we are doing all of this riding as a training course with a recognized expert and teacher, I was able to get AdMo to remove the surcharge. If you are planning on coming and need to rent a bike you can contact Uwe at AdMo Tours directly by any of the following methods:

The only thing that I ask is that if you have not notified me that you are coming and/or need to rent a bike you must do so early on in the process. We only have a limited amount of class spaces and also arranging for the bikes to be transported is very fluid, In a nutshell, get a hold of Uwe early but get a hold of me even earlier.
