Overview-2001 Barcelona International Motorcycle Show
Once you paid your entrance fee of about 900 pesetas (approx $5) you walked into a large central courtyard configured with various tracks. There were four testing tracks in all - respectfully for small mini-cars, scooters/mopeds, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Each track had a variety of obstacles to negotiate such as rock piles, hay barriers, or simply cones. In order to test whatever was on hand, you simply had to wait in line (which wasn't that long on the day that I went). As I was wearing normal shoes and didn't want to test anything that they had - I bypassed this and went into Hall One where BMW had their pavillion.
Show Overview - outside area
Photo - ATV testing area
This is the ARV testing area. There was a uneven log obstacle
and gravel pit to negotiate.
Most of the people trying this out looked like they were brand-new at it.
Since ATV's don't really interest me at all, I skipped this and simply watched
for entertainment's sake.

Photo - BMW C1 and Frame
Inside there mere many more interesting things to look at such
as this Italian
manufacturer who makes the frame for the BMW C1 showing their product.
Of course, being a trade show there were lots of strange
attractions intended to get your attention
and your body in the booth. None however worked as well as the Polaris Victory
Jazz Players.
