Day 2 - Ride Videos

Because I was fairly involved with focusing on my riding I didn't bring the video camera with me on purpose. I did use my digital still camera though to catch a few videos although I didn't get any real action shots. I was planning on bringing a helmet camera but didn't want to complicate things. (If you want the MPG posted instead of the RealVideo please just tell me).

Some of the riding area that we went through were just amazing. Jimmy found some tracks that Johnny Cambell told him about that took us over some hills and into a series of washes and cactus fields. We cross another dry lake and got to him some long stretches with serious whoops and bumps.

There wasn't one time that I wasn't thinking in my helmet, boy this is a piece of cake. I had to always be alert as I was trying to ride to the highest level of my ability and speed.

The clips that I took came after Roderick got his unfortunate flat tire. The road that Barry is coming down was long and was full of jumps and whoops. After this we headed off for more action, it just didn't stop - which was fine for us.

Dual Sport Ride with Jimmy Lewis

In the following videos you can hear Barry talk about the trail briefly and get a feeling of what we were doing.

My new control setup came through okay. It was fun to follow the GPs as we went along and
I only broke the right mirror by putting the bike vertical on a steep hill climb. Oops!

While is might be hard to see there are some branches sticking out from underneath
the bike. We went through all kind of terrain and I got the best and worst of it.

As the sun set, Jimmy packed up the camper and we prepared to go home as well.

It was a nice session, a full two days including training and riding. On the second day we just kept on finding new areas to ride and ride. Jimmy kept on asking us if we were okay for more and nobody said anything but "yes!". At the end, we had made some new friends and had some good laughs. Isn't that what riding is all about... I'm looking forward to doing it again.
