Day 2 - Flat Tire

Luckily we only experienced one flat tire in the whole group for both days of riding. Here's the short story about this event.

Roderick's R100GS sprung a leak and while he tried to keep it together for a while using CO2,
eventually it required that we take a look at the tube and determine what was wrong.
Total time elapsed about 25 minutes and he was doing it slowly.

This turned out to be okay for all of us though as it was getting hotter and we wanted a break.

I didn't know what this plant was but got some caught in my pants.
I tried to pull it out and it got caught in my hand causing some pain.
Heather then graciously told me that it had a slight irritant and that my hand would hurt for a while.
She was right. It pays to know the local flora and fauna.

Was Eli tired or just meditating ? You decide.

At this rest stop I was checking out my exposed rear disc as the track was very stony.
I was excited that in a few days I would be dropping my bike off at Scotts Performance
to have them start to make the rear disc guard for the F650GS/Dakar.
