R900RR rear - Detailed Photos from the 2001 Barcelona Motorcycle show

Picture 1 - right rear quarter

The happy Michellin man is on what appear to be tanks built into the subframe.
I'm not sure if the holes are for mounting bodywork or tanks. I'd have to take a look at the factory picture.
Anyways, the seat is long and the frame is strong. (sorry for the rhyme)

Picture 2 - Muffler mounting points

Continuing my obsession with weight reduction at the rear, check out the muffler
mounting points and the lightweight (but strong) rear sub-frame construction.

Picture 3 - Rear wheel, hub

There were notch cuts all around this hub, I'm assuming for weight reduction.
HPN is a boxer specialist so they would know. Look cool though.

Picture 4 - Rear brake actuator

I've never liked my rear brake actuator as the rubber boot tends to get filled up
with sand or mud, so I took this close-up hoping to see what they did.
Can't see much here but look at the foot peg mounting points on the new frame.
